PT PLN (Persero) was the host of HAPUA – AEMI Workshop. The Workshop was held in partnership with the ASEAN Energy Market Integration Initiative, Chulalongkorn University, with Nord Pool Consulting participating as expert. It examined the Nordic electricity exchange (Nord Pool), its structure and operational details, and considered how it was adapted to create the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP). Participants then discussed whether the Nordic model could be adapted to ASEAN, and assessed the preconditions for its success in making the ASEAN Power Grid function on a multinational basis.
